Hinckley Point C nuclear power station is probably the biggest infrastructure project to happen in Somerset since the building of the Great Western Railway. Graham Knight speaks this week as the expert on how local businesses can claim a share of this £2bn cake.
Graham, chairman of the Somerset chamber of Commerce, is guest speaker at Wellington Business Association’s first meeting of 2015 on Wednesday Jan 21st at 6.00pm upstairs at the Dolphin Inn, Waterloo Rd.
Graham describes his talks as “Hinckley: Threats & Opportunities” so there may be bear-traps as well as a gold-rush in this huge construction project. Local food producers have already become part of the so-called “procurement chain”, so the potential for growth is real enough.
